Unfortunately for Muslim women, Islam will always be a patriarchal religion. Muslim men, more often than not, are drunk in the power that their religion confers upon them. Until and Unless Islamic countries adopt western institutions like democracy and equality, women will find hard to break the shackles. Its about time that women begin a global movement and try and empower themselves against such heinous acts.
