It’s pity that despite the fact that we’re too many with too little to feed ourselves, baby factories are booming and our endeavor to make our race immortal has taken a horrendous shape.

Recently, a baby factory was unearthed in Athens and don’t know how many of these kinds are busy breeding lump of fleshes for madly rich who are unable to have children of their own and are ready to pay as much as $40,000.

The so-called customers will give ‘order’ for a baby and the mafia would then select the most beautiful woman amongst the gang, which would then be impregnated by mafia racketeers and the woman would nourish baby for the next nine months. Only the beautiful girls are chosen to produce a baby because customers can pay a higher price for an angelic looking baby.

Now the question is why these baby farms are thriving:

Well, the rhetoric answer would be that the rich have totally monopolized the authority and they can pay huge price just for the sake of a baby. And some where or the other, the poverty stricken people have taken it as their profession because it’s only then the work is thriving, it is a burgeoning industry today.

This has further given rise to prostitution since the members impregnate the women itself and after the woman has served her purpose; the gang forces the woman into prostitution. Another method of ‘recruitment’ is to prey on pregnant women who are drug addicts. They are offered money in return for their baby. Thus, in a way it is also promoting addiction.

Other reason could be that IVF or other techniques might come out costly and may not be successful even after many attempts so, perhaps, couples decide to take ‘help’ from these kinds of mafias.

If the couple chooses to go in for adoption from an orphanages, there are certain obligations/responsibilities/initial investigatory hassles which are not the case of these ‘baby farms’ thus, the parents can easily escape in here which is not possible otherwise.

So, what’s the solution?

The couples who take help from these mafias and the people who are running the ‘baby factories’ are equally responsible for this horrendous trend.
