Saudi women’s rights activists have posted on the web a video of a woman at the wheel of her car, in protest at the ban on female drivers in the kingdom.

The draconian laws continue in the male-dominated Islamic societies. It is about time that the women woke up and took matters into their own hands. If they continue waiting their turn to get behind the wheels, they may never be able to actually make it. People at the ground level are quite aware that the ban is unreasonable and unjustifiable and it is only the Mullahs that continue to justify it all in the name of Islam. What possible harm could there be in allowing women to drive? Authorities would rather see men high on booze behind the wheels than women who are generally more responsible on road. Ironic...
