this article is good pooja,i think to me the happiest age is determined by what one gets at the particular age,say for instance the research talks of what people would love to have at a particular age but for it to be the happiest age it has to be fulfilled first that is why i say that the happiest age cannot be given prior definition because no one knows when he will be happy in life but rather he/she hopes to be happy at a particular time in life.

I would have liked for the people taking the survey to be seniors, who can look back and tell at what age they were happiest.

Well I am a senior;and I seem to have been happy at all ages. Not that there were no periods when I was not under pressure;but in retrospect even the unhappiest moments pass-and if you have patience and determination-go away. While the happy memories tend to linger and keep on returning to cheer you up.In short troubles usually go away -and happiness lingers.

I personally believe that happiness has got more to do with the mental age of a person, rather than the biological age. Those who are young at heart are the happiest, even if they are actually a hundred years old.
But the study shows that the majority of people are happiest when they are approximately 26-36 years old because late adulthood is a time when you are equipped with adequate knowledge, experience and maturity that give you the strength to cruise through the rest of your life peacefully.

That’s interesting. Nearing 40, I wouldn’t want to wait to call another age my favorite, not look back at happier times. Did you notice that not that much people name childhood as their ideal of ”happy”?
